OK, I been outta town for a week or so, and am quickly catching up on recent posts.

FYI re the photo illustration on your 4/4 item on Mr Roberts (Hey, will Ensign Pulver/Jack Lemmon be his Deputy?): That photo was on the cover of the MTA Annual Report a few years ago, and while I saw it right away, shortly after it was released other folks also pointed out that the photo was a textbook illustration of How Not To Be Safe:
The guy is walking beween the tracks (dangerous), stepping on the surface of the running rail (slippery, you can twist an ankle), and carrying a heavy tool on his shoulder with one hand (potential danger of dropping it, injuring himself or others).
