In the season 9 premiere, "The City of New York vs. Homer Simpson," Bart pulls a similar stunt on the subway. While riding a train, Bart gets everyone's attention, and proceeds to explain that he was born without taste buds, and to demonstrate, he'll lick the pole. Mid-lick, he proclaims himself to be out of his league. While that episode is one of my all time favorites (in part because of the fabulous representations of NYC), it will unfortunately never again be aired in the NY market. The episode prominently features the Twin Towers, along with the now horribly inappropriate line "sorry about that, they put all the jerks in tower 1." The episode is available on DVD, and is highly recommended, if only to see Bart on the subway, not to mention the Port Authority Bus Terminal... -JMP It’s all a rip off of the Simpsons.
