Liu set to leave City Council?
ByGotham Gazette’s Wonkster tips us off to a statement by John Liu in which hints he is ready to leave the City Council. Liu, the chair of the council’s Transportation Committee, has long drawn my ire for his statements that conflict with reality. While he’s tried to bring more accountability and transparency to the MTA, he has long come across as out of touch with transportation realities in the city. I hope he doesn’t garner much support for his run at the mayorship. [Wonkster]
