It's for a new show on the Discovery Channel about the exploration of space. I guess ceiling stick-on ads are the future to get a bit more ad revenue.

On the issue of posters hanging inside of subway cars, I was in the front car of a Brooklyn-bound #3 train yesterday morning, and three advertising decals on the ceiling of the car promoted some new show on the Discovery Channel. (All of the advertising placards on both sides also promoted this show, whose name I forgot).

It's not quite wrapping the entire car a-la Westin and the 42nd St. Shuttle, but it is a move towards putting advertising in non-traditional spaces.
