That’s because they are not going to fire people until they see if this program works when expanded to other more complicated lines. Either way, the program is supposed to eventually simplify things and save the MTA money in the long run. We all have to give it more time before we judge it.

They are not getting rid of anybody they are adding more superintendents on top of what they already have. There has been zero mention of trimming some of the management waste.

The idea is to get rid of those superintendents by implimenting someone who doesn’t need to go through lots of red tape to get things done. In the long run the plan is supposed to SAVE the MTA money. I actually like the idea and I have noticed a marked improvement of cleanliness on the 7 and L.

Every single line in the subway system already has 3 superintendents plus each section has a general superintendent also. There is way too much management in the system wasting money.
