I’m wondering just how the trains will make out with the broadcasts. Half of the R160s I sit on (N/W man) have their MTA infomercials greatly distorted. I don’t work on their equipment so I can’t see the cause, but in any case some maintenance isn’t being performed (even a simple reboot); I would expect the same thing whether CNN broadcasts on the little screens or on add-on panels. Guess that’s good then since the MTA will get the money but we don’t have to get bombarded with more media!
The way the G train has all this work on it - even when it’s not actually being worked on! - it will be the most incredible line ever conceived by humanity!
I hope that well into the future when we may get the triboro Rx that it doesn’t suffer the fate of the G.

@ CNN/MTA partnership for TVs: AWESOME. Two things though:
1) How will they protect the TV’s from gum and water leaks? Using a plastic case would prevent the second, but not against indiscriminate riders who litter.
2) Will there be sound?

Err… I guess that how affects R trains and throws off the schedule all the way up to Queens Blvd. so that the poor G-Trains have no slot? I don’t believe this excuse, but that’s probably what’s implied.
