The first search I did (on the LIRR, not the subways) showed a way to take the 5:45am train from Hicksville to Penn Station in just 25 minutes with two non-existant transfers.  A direct, express train actually takes 40 minutes, and the previously mentioned (local) 5:45am train really takes 50 minutes.

If Google can come up with a way to make my commute twice as fast, I&#039;ll praise them to no end, but until then I&#039;ll chalk it up to a programming or data error.  (And no, I don&#039;t normally take a train that early!)</description>

		<description>It gives you service notices for the route it recommends!  I just can&#039;t get over how great this is now that the whole of the NYC metropolitan area is covered by Google Transit.</description>
