		<description>Furthermore, there are already bus lanes along much of 2nd and 3rd Avenues, and the buses are already full.  The Second Avenue Subway is obviously necessary.

Agreed that killing the #7 extension makes perfect sense, especially with the only useful station removed from the plan!</description>

I recently read the essay from 1904 on NYCSubway.org, and in the very intro they state how pipelines, and a mass of infrastructure made the undertaking quite arduous. I wanted to inform the Times&#039; columnist about it, but never got around to it.</description>
