Some of the folks at NYCT Dept. of Buses contend that the doubledeckers have a system of avoiding low hanging branches - its called the steering wheel - but, of course, all it would take would be one bus taking out an antique Elm Tree on 5th Ave, and there would be arboreal hell to pay...
