I used to get weekend updates from MTA about all the subway lines that run in and out of Brooklyn.

This stopped abruptly about 3 months ago------- and I therefore do not know what changes are being made each weekend.
Going to the MTA Website today only produced comments about service on December 13. Surely the MTA can do better than that.

When will you resume the weekend Transit Advisories you used to send ,me every Thursday?

Hey, wait a minute... You mean the G-Train is running in Queens this weekend and not affected by random work in lower Manhattan!?

MTA timetables for any kind of construction work are to be taken lightly. There's a moving walk in the Court Square / 23rd Ely connector that originally went down in June with a July reopening date. Every few weeks the sign would be updated with the reopening date set back a month. Now we're in December and I believe it reads "December 30".

South Ferry is surprisingly on track, but I'm still wondering why, one month out, they can't set a target date for that one.

> The two writers wonder for how many more years this one will be closed.

Yeah, me too. That's the station I would be using every day to and from work... I try to tell myself that the extra legwork down to Rector Street, and then allllll the way to the other end of the platform, is good exercise.

Yeah a year for one side seems a bit long unless they're doing major structural work. The TA needs a lesson in parallel processing to get projects done faster.

Closed for a year?!?! I remember a TfL report about renovating the Tube's stations by closing them only for several months!
