Transit we can believe in
ByAs President-elect Barack Obama plans to take over the reins of a country in an economic recession, he has been putting forth some transportation stimulus package plans. Unfortunately, transit advocates are finding much to bemoan in Obama’s road-centric plans. Yesterday’s Times joined the fray with an editorial calling for transit investment. Hopefully, Obama will heed the call, and if he does, I have to believe that New York stands to benefit.
