Better off taking the 2/3 to Fulton and switching to the 4/5 to Bowling Green. Or, if you don't want to deal with Fulton St, take the 2/3 into Brooklyn to Borough Hall and then the 4/5 back to Bowling Green. Either way, it's faster and more comfortable than a shuttle. They certainly were wrong in not doing so this time. Having to take a shuttle bus to continue on the #1 train route, from Chambers St. to South Ferry, meant standing on a very crowded bus that was slowly creeping through heavy traffic.
