I never would take that shuttle. Better off taking the 2/3 to Fulton and switching to the 4/5 to Bowling Green. Or, if you don't want to deal with Fulton St, take the 2/3 into Brooklyn to Borough Hall and then the 4/5 back to Bowling Green. Either way, it's faster and more comfortable than a shuttle.

I remember that in the past, the Transit Authority would make an exception and not have the service diversions on long holiday weekends. They certainly were wrong in not doing so this time.

Having to take a shuttle bus to continue on the #1 train route, from Chambers St. to South Ferry, meant standing on a very crowded bus that was slowly creeping through heavy traffic.

I'm waiting for the day PATH does "track chip-outs" if it involves making the rails stronger. The trains run like a mule pulling a cart down an actual path with the trains run through the caissons and the Penn Pocket.

It looks like tracks are chipping out a lot lately.
(Such as on the #1 line and the E line.)
This the legacy of years of what they use to call "deferred maintenance".
