Considering the massive role that transit plays in New Yorkers' lives, and the number of hours per week New Yorkers spend in transit, it is outrageous that NY1 has eliminated the only 30 minutes per week it had previously allocated to it. This was already less than 1/3 of one percent of the weekly broadcast hours.

i always loved his segments, but never liked the fact it was on only once a week and on friday nights. Personally i have found this blog to be far more informative than In Transit ever was.

maybe we fans of SAS can petition NY1 to get Ben on there in some type of new, reformed transit segment. There is plenty of news to make it a daily segment but alas, the general public never seems to care about transit unless fares or tolls go up.

just an idea
