Weirdly enough, this is the weekend of the "Open New York" events. Weather forecast calls for rain and the subway system will be more messed up than usual. They probably won't be as well attended as in past years.

They're certainly not operating there in service.

They might be discharging at Jay Street and running to Bergen just to turn. (A trains did just that for a few weekends earlier in the year or late last year.) That wouldn't interfere with G trains upstairs. Or they might be crossing south of York and terminating in the station at Jay.

I would be extremely surprised if F trains were platforming at the Bergen St lower level, as it's been abandoned/disused for years.

Yes, both the F and G are suspended over the Culver Viaduct because of the major rehab going on there. Get used to this service outage - we're probably going to be seeing a lot of it.

There is an interlocking at Bergen, so it makes sense that the G is terminating there. I don't know if the F is terminating at the lower level of Bergen (not in passenger service, since the platforms down there aren't usable) or on one of the tracks at Jay. (The Jay-Lawrence contractor may have one of the tracks out in the station.)

If there's another way to get where you're going, that wouldn't be a bad idea. I notice that the D is running local on the 4th AVenue line, which should help somewhat - even if you have to ride the shuttle bus, you may not have to ride it very far.

In the version of this information on the website of the all-news radio station (provided by the MTA), it says that the G trains will be running to Church Ave. at all times. "All times", but there will be no G or F trains running south of downtown Brooklyn all weekend?
How confusing can they get?

...Which is the case, so the Bergen terminus provides easy access to the F-Train local shuttle bus!

Should mean last stop is Bergen... Strange terminus though. It does, however, provide easy continuation on the F-Train... Unless that's diverted too!
