Based on the MTA's glance ahead, this weekend was the only one remaining in November with those service disruptions over the viaduct. That info is, of course, subject to change.

Do we know how many more weekends this fall will have these same disruptions on the F and G lines? I know the Culver viaduct rehab is a long-term project but not sure what the near-term schedule is like.

But remember some of those 40,000 New Jersey denizens are spending money in the city beyond commuting & quick lunches.
And all are paying city income taxes as well, so give them something of value like a decent transit hub.

Yeah for the amount of commuters using the PATH station, that seems like a gross misallocation of funds. But, that happens here in NYC, where $200 million for flat screen tv's on some of the subway lines in 2 of the boroughs is touted as a good idea. Like the Venetians, I'd say there are better ways to blow through $200M, in addition to whatever bloated amount of dough they're shelling out for this station to be utilized by some 40,000 New Jersey denizens.

This is slightly off-topic, but I just read THIS in an online article about contemporary Venice:

“Venetians themselves would like to see more money put toward retaining natives, and are critical of such projects as the new Calatrava Bridge over the Grand Canal. Building the bridge, designed by the Spanish architect Santiago Calatrava, ran well over projected costs while doing little to ease the lives of average Venetians.”

Here in New York, this sure sounds familiar!
His “Calatrava Transit Hub” at the World Trade Center site must be by now very much over budget, behind schedule, and who knows for sure if it will EVER be actually finished?
That’s why many people have said, “Why don’t they just add some improvements to the ‘temporary’ PATH station, and let it become a permanent PATH station?”

What I don't understand is why Cortlandt Street requires the split R train--couldn't they just run the N, R, and Q all over the Manhattan Bridge in both directions? The only possible excuse is if Culver work is somehow causing there to be effectively capacity restrictions on the 4th Avenue line.
