Where: The last car of a Canarsie-bound L train
When: Yesterday evening, shortly after 6:30 p.m. at Lorimer St.
Pardon the blur. It’s tough to grab a photo and sneak out of the subway doors as they’re closing. It seems that some enterprising prankster or some oblivious MTA worker had some issues with the subway map. Or perhaps the world has literally been turned upside down.

On the issue of posters hanging inside of subway cars, I was in the front car of a Brooklyn-bound #3 train yesterday morning, and three advertising decals on the ceiling of the car promoted some new show on the Discovery Channel. (All of the advertising placards on both sides also promoted this show, whose name I forgot).
It’s not quite wrapping the entire car a-la Westin and the 42nd St. Shuttle, but it is a move towards putting advertising in non-traditional spaces.
It’s for a new show on the Discovery Channel about the exploration of space. I guess ceiling stick-on ads are the future to get a bit more ad revenue.
Wooo I witnessed this.
