Video of the Day: A rat takes a ride

by Benjamin Kabak

This video needs no introduction. It truly embodies the nightmare of anyone who rides the subway, and it’s not for the squeamish or those who cannot handle rodents. You’ve been warned.

Actually, my biggest fear is waking up on the subway to find a homeless man on my face!

I have never seen a rat in a subway car. Tracks? All the time. Platforms? Yep. Inside a subway car? Nope, never.

Pretty cool stuff

I wonder if that homeless guy knows that he is famous. I wonder what his voice sounds like?

“If you see a suspicious package or activity…”

Does that count? Nice timing on the canned announcement.

This is funny, but not that funny.

The MTA needs to seriously address the problem of Rats. This video has gone viral on youtube. I can’t imagine this happening on any other subway in the country, most certainly not the DC metro or the T in Boston.

I mean it’s really a sad symbol of the state of our subways

That “homeless” guy didn’t look homeless to me.
