Presidents Day service

by Benjamin Kabak

No new content today on Second Ave. Sagas. I’m out of town for the Presidents Day weekend, but I’ll be back with regular posting on Tuesday. Trains in the city are operating on a normal Sunday schedule without the track work service changes. The commuter rail lines are using special Saturday schedules. So check your trip before you travel, and if you’re not at work, enjoy the day off.

NYCT is running on a Saturday schedule today. Commuter rails are also on a Saturday/weekend schedule.

…without the track work service changes.

Not true. The A train was running local yesterday, and there was no C service.

And unsurprisingly, the MTA’s Website doesn’t tell the full story. One day, Marc, they’ll figure out how to announce holiday service changes in ways that cover the full story. But nowhere on their site does it discuss Monday’s service changes.

I agree…the MTA should put a seperate page in the service advisories on holiday service and what trains are affected by ongoing track work then.
